Avalon Park Gym Partners with PopStroke Orlando to Bring Community Wellness Outside of the Gym

ORLANDO, FLJuly 30th, 2026Back to School, Back in Motion: A Family Fitness Guide for the Avalon Park Community

The backpacks are out, the supply lists are on the fridge, and summer’s easy pace is about to speed up fast. For Avalon Park families, back to school season means a whole new household routine, not just a new schedule for the kids.

Good news: a little planning goes a long way, and this August there’s extra motivation to start fresh. Avalon Park Gym is offering a $1 joining fee for new members all month long.

Your Quick Reset Guide

– Rebuild sleep schedules first. Shift bedtimes and wake ups back toward the school routine about a week ahead, for the kids and for you too.

– Claim your workout window now. Once carpool lines and homework take over, “I’ll find time” tends to disappear. Block out three or four windows this week and treat them like real appointments.

– Make movement a family thing. A walk after dinner or a weekend bike ride teaches kids that exercise is just part of life, not a chore.

– Prep meals like you prep lunches. Put that same Sunday night energy toward your own food.

Protect one recovery day. Between new schedules and classroom germs, bodies need rest more than ever right now.

Fast Fitness Tips

– Shorten sessions, not consistency. A focused 30 minute workout beats a skipped hour long one.

– Use the carpool wait for a quick set of squats or a walk around the block.

– Hydrate like it’s homework, for you and the kids.

– Stretch shoulders and hips before backpacks go on, parents included.

– Track small wins to stay motivated when the calendar gets busy.

Rooted in the Avalon Park Community

Fitness here doesn’t happen in a bubble. A few community moments to know about:

– Back to School Bash at Encore at Avalon Park, Saturday, August 1st, 10 AM to 12 PM at 13798 Cygnus Drive. Free school supplies, a dunk tank, face painting, and community vendors.

– The Metabolic Intensive at The 5th Floor Orlando, a six week wellness series running Saturdays, August 22 through September 26. A great reset for parents after a busy summer.

– Weekly trivia nights at the Marketplace keep the neighborhood connected once school routines settle in.

Avalon Park Gym is proud to be part of a neighborhood that treats wellness as a shared effort. We’re here to help your family keep the year going strong.

All through August, new members can join Avalon Park Gym for just $1 (offer valid August 1 to 31, 2026, new members only, subject to change without notice). Add on family members ages 8 and up and get the whole household training together.
